OVA & Movie on DVD - will it ever happen?

Hi guys, I guess this has already been asked (what hasn't?!), but is there any known reason why the OVA(s) and Movie haven't been released on DVD?

I have all 8 volumes of the TV series (thankfully bought them all a year or two back, looking at some eBay prices, they're kinda nuts, I was lucky to snap them up when I did).

I have downloaded the OVA and Movie, but would much prefer a proper DVD release.

I was surprised I have not seen one of these topics yet or I may have missed it or it has been a while since it's been done. I would like to pass a challenge to everyone to help brighten the Christmas spirit a little by adding their favorite rumic christmas or holiday pic or video, icon, fanart, etc. I am curious to see what everyone's favorite rumic scenes for the holidays. Ranko or Lanko?

Okay, I know the answer to this is probably out there someplace really obvious, but I've not seen it. Everywhere I see the name written it's spelled Ranko, or Ronko, I'm talking about the name Ranma uses for his girl half when his Mom is around BTW, yet when I watched the Episodes (Dubbed) it was pronounced Lanko. Very distinctively, LANKO. What's the deal? Is it some funny Japanese pronunciation/spelling thing? Or did the Dub just mess up? Or else, are the internet writers...

I read on Wikipedia that the Japanese releases of the Ranma OVA's had different opening/Ending songs from episode 7-12 than the western releases. And of course, this was after I brought the US DVD, which really was a bummer when I found out... So is...

Is anybody on this forum a lawyer? I ask this because it occurred to me last night that if Ranma 1/2 were set in the real-life U.S., the entire cast except for Kasumi and Dr. Tofu would have rap sheets stretching from Boston to New York. My question is: what do you think the rap sheets for the series' characters would look like? For instance, I think Genma's might read like this:

I am standing with my mouth literally wide open after watching episode 87 "Wonderful! The Magic Mushroom Pot!" Were the makers high on shrooms making this episode? It was wild, and I have to admit I laughed out loud. But BIZ AR O! Who came up with this?

I am not well versed in UY, so I do not know whether this episode has anything to do with the manga. But it left me in stiches, and made me think it is completely nuts...
