Funniest 'Anything Goes' Style

Okay, for my first topic, what is the style of martial arts porayed in Ranma 1/2 which struck you as teh funniest or most unusual? There's cat-fu, food-fu, and that gymnastics style among others. I think the food-fu was one of the oddest arcs I've ever seen. How does Takahashi come up with these things?

So...is anyone going to Anime Expo this summer? Or are u scared of L.A?

Now that we are nearing summer time, I was just curious if anyone was going to Anime Expo this year here in socal
and if they were cosplaying.

There was a big concern on the AX messageboard from last year for the fact that this year's attendees are going to
drastically drop due to the fact that it will be held in Los Angeles instead of "safe" Anaheim next to Disneyland. According to some posts on the AX board, parents won't let their kids go to L.A....

Question about a Ranma 1/2 issue I have

Hi guys.

I recently found a Ranma 1/2 issue one I bought back in 1992 on impulse. I have decided to stick it on Ebay and did some research to try and get the listing right. As far as I can tell it seems to be quite rare because I haven't found a single mention of a 1992 English language 1st edition full colour version anywhere.

I would be extremely grateful if someone could give me some info on this because I really dont want to list the item incorrectly and mislead...

I know how popular the Rumic merchandise is, as well as the fun of collecting it. But do any of you feel that licensing one's characters ("selling out" if you will) is kind of a step in the wrong direction? Especially if the writing and the original product starts to take a backseat to the plush dolls, greeting cards, animated versions, etc. These days it seems like more people are more familiar with Garfield as a car window ornament and Snoopy as a MetLife salesdog.

Hullo all!!

Just got back from watching the new Speed Racer Movie and it is a good film! Very reminiscent of the show in all ways. But in a scene where the Racer family is in a hotel and a ninja tries to attack Speed, the ninja gets flung in the air and weapons fly out of his pockets, along w/ his keys and lo and behold hanging visibly from his keychain? P-CHAN!!!! Dangling from his keys when they hit the wall I laughed so hard!!!! If you go to see this you better have a good eye...

Yotsuya's Egg

I just got done watching an episode about Yotsuya giving Godai an egg, and now I'm pretty confused. Were the characters shocked because giving an egg has some sort of cultural significance or were they just surprised that Yotsuya gave Godai anything? Furthermore, Kyoko asks if it was raw or hardboiled because it could mean different things. Did she meant that she wanted to know so that they knew how to treat the egg or is there some symbolism between raw and hard boiled eggs. Thanks!...

Not sure if this has been covered before, but If Ataru hadn't said anything during Oni tag and had just grabbed her horns, and the Invaders retreated, do you think Lum would have gone home bitter at Ataru about how he won? Maybe she would come to earth and pester him just to annoy him for that. According to the manga she was sore at him for a day or so when he kept her bra top (I mean I would too). In the anime when Ataru gulped and muttered "I'm doing this for marriage" do...

Best change: Episode 77, the one where Godai gets the second letter of recommendation from the Yagamis and Godai tells them what they can do with it (but much more politely).

If a U.S.-style sitcom were to be made using any two characters, who do you think they'd be?

Personally, I think the funniest dynamic between any two characters in the series is that between Kuno and Nabiki.
