Not sure if this has been covered before, but If Ataru hadn't said anything during Oni tag and had just grabbed her horns, and the Invaders retreated, do you think Lum would have gone home bitter at Ataru about how he won? Maybe she would come to earth and pester him just to annoy him for that. According to the manga she was sore at him for a day or so when he kept her bra top (I mean I would too). I was walking through SoHo on Broadway yesterday when I saw massive stickers of Lum and Detective Conan in the windows of one of the stores. I went inside and several of the poles that held up the second floor were decorated with pages from the UY manga, in the original Japanese. Even some of the floor was this way. Does anyone remember Ryoko's Summer Xmas where Chibi dressed up as a girl to go to the party w/ Megane and when they were in the car Chibi asked Megane if he was pretty and he said "Kirei da yo...Chibi..." omg and he was about to KISS Chibi!! I was doing some research on the music of Urusei Yatsura and I came across this Japanese site which mentions some instrumental versions of three Beatles songs are used as background music. Can anyone confirm this? I'm not a big enough Beatles fan to have noticed, but I was wondering if anyone else had picked up on it or knew what episodes this occured in?

Okay, so someone probably asked this question before, and it's probably a dumb question, but I'm going to ask anyway because it's been bugging me for a little while. Ataru has always been a hentai, but could he have settled down with Shinobu? If there hadn't been that misunderstanding between Lum and Ataru at the beginning of the series and Shinobu had accepted his proposal, do you really think that Ataru would have been faithful to her?

I just learned that Megane means glasses...so the character is named glasses? weeeird....

So I was just wandering if anyone knows where any of the other names of the characters come from, because I am interested to see if they are mainley normal practical names or if they are weird names that no one would be named (like glasses).

Does anyone else feel like reaching into the TV screen and strangling Ataru to death, especially when he's being very rude and malicious towards Lum? I sometimes feel this way.

Ataru lacks the charm and the heart of other anime perverts such as Lupin the 3rd and Ryo Saeba. Even when you take into account some of the noble acts he has committed, they unfortunately are outweighed and overshadowed by his lecherous acts. By the end of the series, I have lost all respect for him.

you dreamed you were one of the characters? seriously. I today I had a dream where I was hitting on a chic, we both were were speaking Japanese, and I using every line/move that Ataru had. I didn't realize I that I was acting this way until I woke up.
