I can see myself buying them eventually, but not yet.

Thanks to a good week at work, I treated myself to renting Ratchet and Clank Future. Much love for the cool weapons in that series. Have to knock that out before the rental time is over

My father-in-law wanted a Blu-Ray player for their HDTV, and buying a PS3 meant that he also got a gaming system for guests to play on. He's not a huge gamer, and still hasn't bought any games for their PS3, but he had a Gameboy for the longest time so I'm guessing he'll get something eventually.

No Japanese account. Never bothered to check the stores in other regions.

Your in-laws have a PS3? Wow, pretty cool in-laws it sounds like. Do they have young children or something? That would definetely be a cool gift for your folks though. All of sudden it's like we're in the days of Bladerunner with video phones and stuff. *lol* I was psyched when I got the system, but I have to admit I'm more and more excited by it everyday.

Have you set up a Japanese account? They have a few nifty things in their store for free like the Echochrome demo...

When I do a mic test from the XMB using the PSEye, my voice comes out nice and clear. So I think it may just be a combination of Warhawk and my voice. I move it close to me when I play, but even low pingers have issues with hearing my voice. CoD4 is open mic until the patch at the end of the month comes out, so I always had the mic off in that game. Warhawk is the first game I've tried with the mic.

I didn't have any trouble hearing you. Thankfully my bluetooth...

I agree with you about the Eye mic for gaming. I've seen so many people say it's terrific since it picks up everything and you don't have to wear a headset, but I'm like you and haven't found it to be very good. I can't get it to pick up my voice when I'm playing Warhawk, so I just use my bluetooth headset. Speaking of which, could you hear me okay? Well you have to understand, I'm coming at this from the perspective of a computer gamer. Playing an FPS on the console is difficult for me due to the controller. I'm so used to a keyboard/mouse. No matter how well I may do, it's a chore and a LOT more effort to move/shoot accurately using the controller. One reason why I kept getting so many teamkills on that last map. Yay me and my first server kick for excessive teamkilling! Almost all of my suicides are for the same...

After months of playing the game, the hardest part by far is still the air game. We both still use the default method, but I've heard everyone say that if you take the time to get used to advanced mode you'll be a much better overall pilot. I just can't bring myself to try it though.

Since you have the experience with this game....

I still fly warhawks in the default control mode. Do you do that as well, do you use advanced mode or whatever it's called with the sticks, or dop you use the motion sensing method? Just trying to get a feel for what I should get used to doing to be more competitive. I'm starting to get better in the game overall, but flying is definitely my weak point.
