Yea, that makes sence. It's irritating that some people are suporting ilegal fansubs with actual money and not buying the DVDs.

I don't understand why anyone would do that anyway...if you're going to spend money on anime why wouldn't you just buy the DVDs?

They make money off of fansubs. That's enough reason for me to dislike them, regardless of anything else they may do that's good.

I don't see why Crunchyroll would be praticullary bothersome. They take down all their anime as soon as they are licensed so I don't see why there's need for complaint.

Again, you're theory is pretty optimistic, so I hope it's right. I think every point that we want to make has already been established. I think if I made a counter argument I would just be repeating most of the same points I've already made. Then you would likely also just repeat yourself. So I think we can just let this drop, unless anyone else has any other point they would like made.

Anyway, it was nice to be able to have differences in opinion, and type it up...

GodaiHM I feel like you're being a little too optimistic. A lot of people nowadays are highly immoral, ignorant, or just plain stupid. There was just a study that was being surpressed saying how people who downloaded music were more likely to buy the CD, and were actually contributing to the increased sales of certain music. Gonzo isn't known for being all that innovative, so I'm kind of surprised they're the first studio to try this. It'll be interesting to see how it goes.

Weeeeeeeird. Are they streaming it on any Japanese sites? Hmmm...I wonder if they have a reason for putting them up? Like maybe a little research revealed that western fans are more likely to buy anime that they see on the internet when they come out on DVD? I'm interested because I always thought that people who watched anime online had tendencies not to buy the DVDs.

Gonzo is airing two of their latest anime shows on Youtube and Crunchyroll the same time it airs in Japan with English subtitles.
The two shows are Blassreiter, a 13 episode Sci-Fi series and The Tower of Druaga: the Aegis of Uruk, a 13 episode Fantasy-Adventure series.

Between the two, The Tower of Druaga: the Aegis of Uruk seems to be the better show, the animation quality is also better.

This is an interesting move for Gonzo to stream their latest anime shows on...
