I woke up at 5:00 AM. On Adult Swim they were airing the very last anime episode of Inuyasha. Afterward, at 5:30, they broadcast the very FIRST episode of
Inuyasha.

I gotta say, it was rather heartbreaking to me.

Such a harsh ending with no conclusion. Such a wonderful beginning.

Siiiiiigh, I know this has been said a billion times, but I wish they would finish the anime up. It wouldn't take too long. Takahashi is almost done.

Don't get me wrong; the manga is beautiful and...

After reading all the posts, I have to agree with childisfatheroftheman (whew, that's a mouthfull). I would love to see an oav or two, but I'm happy
reading the manga and knowing the conclusion the original author had for this story. While I loved the anime, I'm really a purist when it comes to manga.
If the writer didn't intend for something to be written - like Inu and Kag's kiss in movie 2, or the Ayame character (don't even get me started on
her) - than I'm...

This is one of the reasons why one of my Junior Programmers doesn't like Takahashi anime. He says that they are never concluded, except Maison Ikkoku. I on
the other hand love her series (except the Mermaid series, but that's just not my taste) and would agree that finishing up the series would be awesome. My
wife was equally disappointed at the last episode. I guess we'll have to pick up the movies some time and see if they add any sort of resolution. (Doubt it
though <img...

I think they could at least have a movie wrap it up? Look at the market for such a thing..world wide to say the least! As far as the songs/music was concerned
I liked the early ones the best ("Come" being one that I think was the best one...)

You know, it's really not that big of a deal. A final movie, or a set of ova's would be nice, but it's really not necessary. Takahashi wrote more
stories than could reasonably be animated. As long as I can read and enjoy the manga through to it's conclusion, I'm satisfied.

Hate to make everything worse but...now that I think about it I doubt the manga ending would have much effect on the desicion of animating a proper conclusion
to the sereis. Anime studios often make up endings to sereis that havent yet ended in their manga form. If they really wanted to add something else to the
series to make it more conclusive they probably would have done it by now.

Yeah it is a downer, unfortunately with series like Inuyasha, either one of two things happens. You get 26 episodes and thats IT, or you get a nice, long
running series that is popular enough for a 100+ episodes, but not more than that. And unfortunately, almost all of Takahashi's series have turned out
this way. Thankfully UY got a movie to wrap it up though.
