In the 2nd half, the girls catch Ataru looking at a porn magazine "Momoiro". The covergirl is Akemi. And just in case we aren't completely certain, it says "Akemi" right over her picture in roman lettering.

Cultural aside, "momoiro" means "peach color" and at one time perhaps was the Japanese word for "pink". And in the manga version of the Romeo and Juliet story of Ranma, there's a girl in the audience who looks a bit like Shinobu, and even has a speaking role.

Yes, the fourth wall is kinda thin in Rumicland (which is different from Rumic World, obviously).

I take the UY anime in small doses, and for a good while it is has been only mildly amusing. But ep. 157 and the next one, 158, are both really amazing, esp. considering how long the show had been running by then.
