Of all the female characters in RT's work, who's the hottest |

And the choice has to be a character that's 14 years or older. At the moment, I think the hottest is Nabiki. But Lum's hot too.

Kagura.
She's always wearing that kimono, it must be very humid. Oh, and she doesn't look bad either. Be nonchalant, dammit -Ryoga Hibiki, Ranma 1/2

Kagome, in the manga at least. She's a little plainer in the anime. Sadly it seems like they went out of their way to pretty up some of the other girls in the anime adaptation but Kagome ended up losing her pretty blue eyes and looking a bit younger/more childish. Le sigh. But I felt the same way about how they did Akane in Ranma 1/2.
After that Rouge and then Lum. For older ladies, Kyoko wins hands down. |

Quote: Which version? Ha! Yes, she's very sultry, but I like the wholesome Kyoko! But I was always partial to Mary Ann over Ginger! That's interesting, Haro, about Kagome. I've been waiting for the end to buy the manga of Inuyasha, so it will be interesting to check out the comparison between the anime version and the manga version of Kagome. I have to admit that, when I think of it, manga version of Akane definitely comes across prettier and more feminine than the anime version, especially after the haircut. I guess I always attributed that to the fact that when you show Akane's actions, she appears more "uncute" as Ranma would say. When you see her as a static image, perhaps she can maintain some of those feminine features better. I don't know. Just a theory. There shouldn't be any good reason though to take away from Kagome's looks based on translating the story from manga to anime though. Back to the subject, I think Akemi is decidedly underrated when it comes to Takahashi's sultry redheads. She is often quite pretty, especially when she hasn't yet over-imbibed. Regards,

Re: Of all the female characters in RT's work, who's the hot | ||
Quote: Well I kind of think one of the points of Akane's character is that although she's called uncute and is considered a tomboy, she actually can be and often wants to be very feminine. There's nothing that tomboyish about Akane outside the martial arts and inability to cook. The short hair was involuntary after all. We discover very soon into the story that she isn't the tomboy she seems. She's got a very girlish crush on a guy, she wants to be considered pretty, and she often wears very feminine clothing complete with cutesy hair clips et al. Her room is fairly girly, and well, she really wants to be Juliet. Not to say Akane is girly, but it seems almost if it's her situation that makes her seem tomboyish and not who she is. She's certainly not ubergirly, but I wouldn't say she's unfeminine at all. But it isn't the movements, it's the art for me. She's just so much prettier in the manga, and the same goes with Kagome. Lum+Kyoko's beauty carried over very well to the anime versions (Mana's as well), but the latter two Takahashi heroines not so much. |

Lum was the first Takahashi character I fell in love with, heh, so I'd have to pick her.

This is a very different question than "Who's your favorite?" so with that in mind, I have to be completely superficial and choose the girl's who have the attributes that the superficial male would want.
That being said...... 1. Lum 2. Shampoo 3. Ran |

Well, for me I'd say the best looking ones would be....
1. Ranma 1/2 :Akane and girl Ranma 2. Inuyasha: Sango (hands down) The best would be Akane in my opinion. |

I actually think that Takahashi-dono draws the prettiest girls anywhere
But if I had to, I would say Lum. But I think that Benten's boyish charm makes her cute I like how Takahashi-dono draws her girls with realistic looking bodies. |

For long series, I'd have to say Kyoko, though Shampoo's pretty hot, too (a little too much of a Lum clone, maybe). I hated Kagome's design for the first few installments (what the hell was up with those legs?), and then she started looking better (especially in those instances when she was wearing something other than her sailor suit, which always made her look so plain), but she never got to be one of my favorites. I guess it's kind of hard to look hot when you're in the middle of a demonic fight.
From the shorter works, there's Mana from Mermaid Saga (pre-Gaze--I don't know what it is with her early 1990s work, it's like the eyes are too simplified or something), Suzuko from FireTripper, Azusa from Laughing Target (when she's not all evil and killing people, at least), and Shoko from Diet Goddess. |

Re: hottest girls | ||

Benten! Her voice is so nasily and sexy.
...But I can't just leave my answer at that, especially after returning to this forum after a 6 month, or so, retreat from it. Here's a breakdown: Inuyasha: none, most of the characters seem too plain. Ranma 1/2: Ranma-onna, great voice acting and the nude pictures that Nabiki peddles to Kuno are adorably silly. Maison Ikkoku: Akemi, awesome voice, plus who can say no to the see-through nighty? Urusei Yatsura: BENTEN... Lum, too, her voice acting has a limitless range and she got much curvier near the end of the series! |
