Well, to me, it seems like a good idea. An epic video game, spaning from different time periods. I'd buy it. (maybe I can make it myself....after a few years of programming and 3d design in college.)

Good video game idea? |

I think that a video game based off of the Mermaid Saga would be awesome. I don't know what kind of game it would be, but it would be awesome. I'm thinking it would work out nicely with the Wii. Swing swords or stakes or other weapons with the Wiimote and jump around to fend off enemys. The game could go through the whole series, with additional stories made to lengthen the game. Also, some more chapters after the end of the series in the future! heh, i dont know about that.

Oh, I thought of one for the Wii. You play as Inuyasha and swing the remote screaming Wind Scar or Adament Barrage really loud into the voice pick-up recognition thingy in the remote. Playing as Ranma while using the voice input technology would be cool too. Thrust the remote in front of you really fast for the Chestnuts Roasting technique, and so on and so forth.

I really wanna see a fighting video game (like Street Fighter) with mixed Rumiko's character. Ranma, Inuyasha, Yuta, Ataru and their gangs fight the last bosses, Naraku, Herb and Saffron (and Happosai?) with tag system.
Yuta maybe doesn't do much, but he have regenerating HP, make him a good defense guy ____________________________________

hell yeah, but with a little adjustment
BIG monster battle have something like pantyhose tauro V. seshomaru big version. or Mr. Invader V. a random demon. that being said I would like to see some combo moves something like hiru shoten ha paired up with the ultimate moko taka bisha |

Oh? Smells like that uber Bowser boss battle in SSBM. Can you say Kyoko Slap vs. Akane Mallet, eh?

Modding a game to make a Takahashi game would be so cool to do....man, wish I had the time to do that.

I seen an anime modded version of Warcraft 3, no Takahashi characters were used though. Ya kinda gotta praise people who have that kinda time on their hands.

With the exception of Inuyasha characters, because it's already popular here unlike the other somewhat forgotten Takahashi characters.

Quote: Well the 'forgotten' Takahashi characters got plenty of video game coverage in the peak of their popularity. As much as InuYasha even. There were even Maison Ikkoku games. And I'm sure that were it not for the fact that anime hadn't reached a level of popularity that guaranteed the success of such a release, they would have been released over here as well. Ranma 1/2 was huge among anime fans in the mid to late nineties. It was the InuYasha of its age even. In any case, I would hardly call Ranma 1/2 a forgotten series. However, it's been ten years since its conclusion so it's only natural there won't be a bunch of games for it. I highly doubt they'll be new IY games popping up ten years from now either. However, Urusei Yatsura did have a vid game released in 2005 so there has been some older Rumic love on newer consoles. ^.^ But I will say that if IY characters weren't in an all-around Takahashi game, I quite frankly would not play it. Oh I love her other manga to bits and pieces, so it's not that at all. It would just bug me a lot to see it excluded. |

Quote: Just saying, anybody who isn't a fan would simply say they never seen it and/or it is gay. Man I hate people who say the latter. Quote: I didn't mean that they should exclude IY characters, I just meant that last post as a response to the one before it. Just got lazy and didn't put it into quote format. |

Re: sol | ||
Quote: I think that happens with a lot of Takahashi's series actually- Maison Ikkoku probably being the number one because it doesn't have any fantasy or battle at all. There's not even fanservice for the most part like Ranma and Urusei. A lot of people avoid it because it's 'old.' Even InuYasha, her most action intense one, lacks the hardcore shounen aspect that's so popular these days and is looked down upon some fans for that reason. I can't count the number of times I've seen people say the manga 'became lame' when IY really softened up. To me that's when it became really great. Go fig. Haha. Every single one of her manga has a fairly strong focus on romance, and because of that some newer fans avoid it because that's just not kickbutt enough. Series like Naruto and Bleach, are almost completely devoid of romance and are pretty testosterone intense, so there's no fear of them being 'gay.' Quote: It's okay. Thanks for explaining! |
