Posts: 24 (07/25/05 05:44 PM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	Tags : None What's your favourite "romantic moment" as in the moments that make your heart flutter or in this case make akane's heart flutter lol. mine are: -romeo + juliet scene when they "kiss" -akane dares ranma to kiss her -when they have a skating competition and ranma says akane's his -oav 12 when akane posessed by a doll and her body is walking with ranma -when ranma thinks akane's in love with shinnosuke and then they save each other and hold hands in the end (aww ^^; and many more i hope cuz i still have to finish the rest lol

He openly confesses it to himselft and Akane is able to hear his thoughts by "ishin-denshin" where two ppl are connected heart to heart and that explains how Akane is able to hear Ranma's thoughts in that moment. A truly and absolutely moment of pure love for each other ^_^ Cya!! Cocou!!

Posts: 110 (07/25/05 09:08 PM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	Oh so so many. -the whole skating pair story - them holding one another after he saves her from Ryoga's bandannas - him pulling her through the bushes thinking she's Nabiki and his make-shift apology cracks me up - the Romeo and Juilet kiss - the apology scene when Ranma loses his strength and she tries to help him - Shinnosuke arc -the super soba thing in the tree - the cheerleader incident - the hug in the closet and close call kiss - the hug upon returning from defeating Herb -the proposal with the "ring" - the end And I'm forgetting half of the little things I love.

It's the less overt moments that strike me most forcibly when I read through the manga now, though. Moments like the time when Akane tended to Ranma's wounds in the aftermath of his battle with Rouge, or the time when they talked prior to Ranma's battle with Ryu Kumon - that make you realise what Ranma was talking about when he said 'I'm happiest when you're with me like this' on the way home from Ryugenzawa. Or others, like the time when Akane stood at the edge of the flooded springs in manga 38, dressed in nothing but Ranma's shirt, telling Ranma to be strong. To me, these moments are the 'most romantic' because they show that there's more to Ranma and Akane's relationship than frustrated sexual tension.

I didn't know other people felt that way about it, too, that's so great! LOL I wish Akane hadn't whomped him, though. But it was still so sweet to see him looking so appreciative of her...before he got whomped. Otherwise, I'd have to say I like the tanabata story, and of course when he's cradling her in his arms in volume 38. A kiss would have been great there. But hey, they'll have the rest of their lives for that. EDIT: Oh yeah, and I nearly forgot about the time when she was trying to hide him from his mother, and he misunderstood her advances and tried to kiss her.

It's the only time the series doesn't have to hold back. I also have several from Season 2; the scene where Akane dares Ranma to kiss him in the second episode (I wouldn't have hesitated... mrow, Akane), the scene at the end of Episode 19 where Ranma comes back and eats all her cookies (Heh, that phrasing kind of makes it sound like she didn't want him to, and he just stole her cookies or something... XD But I guess that wouldn't be very romantic.), and the scene at the end of the Romeo and Juliet play. The music helped a lot in all three of 'em. Not to be hating on the anime episodes or anything, but my least favorite was definitely the one in "Kuno Becomes a Marianne." Talk about melodramatic.

Vol.2), where Ranma says he likes Akane's shorter hair, and nearly admits to himself that he thinks she's cute. Too bad she had to go and shove him in the river. The Ryugenzawa story-arc has many of the best moments, too. There's the ending, of course, but I also like the scene where Ranma tries to fight Shinnosuke over her. And I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who liked that scene in the Ryu Kumon story. In a subtle way, it shows how their relationship has changed by that point. Earlier in the series, she would have whapped him just for being in her room at all.

I suppose in a subtextual sense, that's what that little moment meant, but certainly, Ranma couldn't have known that that's what he was offering. ^_^ Which actually, now that I think about it, makes it all the sweeter. LOL @ "Kuno Becomes a Marianne" reference Yeah, that was pretty weird. Just a liiiittle out of character for them both, and the corny swelling of the loud violin music didn't help things much. And since you asked, Sofapie, here you go.

Otherwise, we might have had a genuinely sweet moment there. OHHHH, GOOD GOD, NO!!!!

Though when it comes to the Shinnosuke arc, I'd like to especially emphasize the big "Akane to Ranma's rescue" panel besides the one at the end. (And I also must mention the big "slap" scene - it's not "romantic" in the most used sense of the word, but it's very moving IMO, and essential for what follows.) No-one has mentioned Ranma's dream at the end of the Festival leaves story in vol. 35 yet, so I will. I like it a lot.

That was so incredibly awkward and mean, I could actually feel the bile creeping into my throat once Ryouga figured out he'd poured his heart and soul out for Ranma, who was only playing a vicious prank on him. Augh...that scene is just... It's just horrid. >_< Now when Ranma was trying to pin down Ryouga's infidelity by playing the maid when he was still toggling between Akane and Akari... hey, go Ranma. =P In addition, I thought it was kind of funny when close to the end of the series in the mushrooms of age arc, Ranma eagerly presented the five-year-old Ryouga to Akane as "Ryouga's kid" and then proceeded to dwell on how hard it was to believe that Ryouga wandered around so much but actually had time to do, y'know, THAT with a girl, and blah, blah, blah, see, Akane, how he's not as great a guy as you think? LOL I believe that's what they call a "c*** block".

Posts: 250 (08/02/05 06:34 PM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	If we are talking about romantic moments in the anime, we could add the episode "Akane goes to the hospital" where Ranma got very angry and jealous with Gosunkugi who was taking photographs of Akane in the gym class. She broke her leg and spent a couple of days in Tofu's clinic. Of course I don't like Akane to be hurted, but it was quite romantic an funny episode by some moments. It's one of my favourites among the filler episodes. Cya! Cocou!
