I love filler eqisodes :) |

But is that only me, or if anyone else also feels this way: fillers are more enjoyable than the regulars. I love those eqisodes that kagome and innuyasha goes back to the future (present) time. I also find those eqisodes fighting Naraku boring and depressing. I especially love the filler eqisodes 147-148. Somehow Rumico have to turn Kikyo back to a human, so Inuyasha can have one wife at each side of the well

Filler episodes are usually some of the funniest episodes in the series, ex...the one that involves the festival at kagome's school that was a really great one, I do however like the dramatic episodes mainly the ones that involve Kagome and Inuyasha in danger, especially when Kagome shows her ever increasing skills with the bow

Some were decent, some were good, some were bad, but the canon ones were the best. And some stories not animated yet, I hope they are one day.

Was the school fair (or was there a school play episode?) canon? As in, does it come up in the manga? I don't watch the anime, but I'd like to see something like that in manga form. Rumiko doesn't do the "Inu-Yasha in the future," stuff enough, I agree that it contributes nothing to the story but it's as funny and cute as heck. It also really breaks up the tension with Naraku, as it did with volume 23 (which I just read). Seeing Inu-Yasha sneak around the Higurashi household is just too funny.

Yep, the school play (episodes 127-12
But one of my favorite episodes to date is actually a filler, too. 147-148. I loved those two episodes. ^_^ ![]() According to Kappei, Satsuki, and Noriko... INUYASHA MOVIE 4: KIKYOU SHINIDAMA NO SONATA! "Suki na yo, SECCHAN!" *chu!* |

I do love the season 3 filler episodes though. The season 4 filler as kinda too monster of the weekish. Oh I also really liked alot of the filler that occured after the band of 7 arc. |

For some reason i'm strongly against fillers. I can't stand animated stuff that doesn't go with the manga. For me, anime is to give a better notion
of the manga.
Which that makes me not enjoy the movies because they are simply extended, more detailed fillers. Yet they are couple of filler episodes in InuYasha that i enjoyed much: 128 ("Battle against the dried-up demons at the cultural festival") - that one, i laughed until i almost cried. and 162 ("Forever with Lord Sesshomaru") I thought that one was the cutest one. 89 ("Nursing battle of the rival lovers"),147 and 148 ("The tragic love song of destiny") were alright. Else, I don't like Ayame, I HATE Sara, I hate Urusei's offsprings, and I extremely HATE ep. 158's final part (Fateful night at Togenkyo last part 2). I wanted to choke the person that let the scene be produced (vol. 9 is my favorite arc in InuYasha aynomayac |

yeah, I'd have to agree that the addition of the new characters such as Ayame and Sara detract from the story - even adulterating Takahashi's intent
for the main characters the new characters are supposed to be in love with.
You have to take fillers for what they are - fan fiction. If you keep them apart from the rest of the story in your mind, then you can just sit back and enjoy them. As long as they don't change the main story, I don't mind them so much. |

huh, interesting, I've been rewatching the whole anime these last couple of weeks and I didn't realize that Ayame wasn't cannon. Personally I felt
that she fit right in. Sorta like the Ryouga and Akari of Inuyasha.
Her character design certainly felt Takahashi-like. I've always felt like filler episodes of Takahashi series' are episodes Takahashi herself would have made if she had the time.

Yep, Ayame was definitely true to Takahashi's style. Not that I've ever seen the full episode, but...
I just watched episode 147-148, the special that focused on Inuyasha and Kikyo's relationship. I think it did a great job of fleshing out and giving credence to their relationship, and I find the darker elements of the old Inuyasha to be fascinating. It's one of those rare times where the anime has an important advantage over the manga. |

Ayame does seem like she fits and could be Kouga's love interest, but Takahashi never meant for anyone to be in love with him - it somehow takes away from his "relationship" with Kagome. Same with Sara. Now Sessy is certainly a handsome youkai *beats off other fangirls |

Same with Sara. Now Sessy is certainly a handsome youkai *beats off other fangirls I don't think anything about the episodes that involved (um what was her name again) indicate that Sesshomaruo returned her feelings. Also, I agree that Ayame seemed to fit right into thew story. And I really don't see how Ayame liking Kouga lessens his (none excistent) relashionship with Kagome. That's like saying Kouga (and Houjo)'s character lessons her relationship with Inuyasha (if anything it adds to it). With that said, I love some of the filler and I hate some of the filler, but I do agree that if you have read the manga and know which episodes are filler you should keep them sepertated in you're head. Esspecially big events like the kiss in the second movie. Because if IY and Kag ever kiss in the "real" Inuyasha universe then it will really lessen the significants of that moment. |

The filler episodes that don't introduce new characters are great. I don't mind those that do involve additional characters as long as they don't
interfere with the main characters' sentiments for another. However, I have to agree that the Sara episode did have a slight effect on Sesshomaru's
character. It would have been better if he did not show the faintest interest or pity for her at the end, then the episode would still be good, just to
reinforce his desirability (to fangirls).
Now, with Ayame's case, it has a long term effect on Koga because all of a sudden, he's an engaged man (not officially, but he has a 'fiancee'). Again, with a little change can make it all right, like, if he did not use the actual word 'promise' on the night when he made that statement about marrying her. |

Dr Casey wrote: what confuses me about this episode is this: in these episodes i believe that kikyou's wound was managed because onigumo was confused and hurt "the one he loved", naraku stil having onigumo's conscience. where i believe that throughout the manga, naraku/onigumo wanted to hurt her all along to taint the jewel. everything else in this episode, i enjoyed. the inuyasha's mala, how kaede lost her eye, kikyou and inuyasha as a couple. |
