Kikyo is a trained priestess, while Kagome just happens to an priestess incarnation. Kikyo knows her stuff, and her powers are predictable. On the other hand,
Kagome is full of hidden powers which, I believe, are much more powerful than Kikyo's. The only thing is, she's somewhat clueless about her own
strength, but she keeps surprising you.

Kagome is at LEAST equal to Kikyo, most likely even more
powerful. I have a feeling we'll be seeing a big example of her true power before the end of the series. Like luvIY said, Kikyo's been trained as a
priestess and has had control of her powers for years. Kagome has been using hers for, what, a year? SPOILER Her true power wasn't even unlocked until recently. As Naraku said, the real battle will be a battle of souls.This is where Kagome
will shine. I'm just really anxious to see what will happen when Kags shoots that arrow.....

Fully agree with luvIY. In anime, it may seem that Kikyo has better spiritual powers, but Kagome does not lose out to her. Kagome is AT LEAST equal to Kikyo,
like what tierum said. Kagome's immense powers have yet to release fully. One of the reasons is that her stronger spiritual powers are being sealed by the
evil side of Shikon no Tama.. But I believe Kagome has better & stronger holy powers as the story goes on... And she's very smart too. During
emergencies, she helps to solve problems brilliantly =D

I think this point is yet to be determined. Kikyo has training and experience, sure, but as for raw power/ spiritual ability, I think we have yet to see who is
truly the more powerful priestess. Although, I have to admit, Kagome could probably give Kikyo a run for her money in a drag-down no holds barred fight which
is quite a feat for a girl who only just discovered her abilities, what, a year ago (in the storyline)?
