While I'm eagerly anticipating the final chapter, it's going to leave a hole in my week which it has filled for 11 years. How do you all feel on the subject? Anything you want to see resolved or something you want to characters to do before the end? Where do you want to see Kagome and Inuyasha end up? Predictions? Also, I'm not a big fanfiction person myself, but I was wondering, if Takahashi leaves something open-ended, would anyone here write fanfiction to complete the storyline? What is the source on this? I know manga volumes contain 10 chapters, but there have been books with over 10.

They've always been on top of things like this. I haven't kept up with the recent chapters talked about in this forum so my knowledge ends with the anime series. I can only hope that Viz increases its glacial publishing pace of the series. Volume 36 is due out in January 2009 and only there will it begin to explore material beyond the anime. This means that the manga won't be complete until about January 2014. (And this is considering the manga was published simultaneously with Japan in the beginning!) Ridiculous, but not nearly as bad as Ranma. Hopefully they'll try to at least go bimonthly instead of quarterly. That will shave off two years. Two questions I have now are: a) What will Takahashi do next? b) Will the rest of the series, or portions, be animated? "The saddest part of a broken heart is not the ending so much as the start." The thing that sucks the most is that Viz is publishing Inuyasha at a rate of 1 book every three months. That averages out to about 3.3 chapters a month, which is barely better than the pace it was on when it was in comic book form. I don't know if it's because Inuyasha the only Viz manga that is still flipped, but I don't think so. I just picked some random Viz titles that are less "significant" than Inuyasha to compare. "Muhyo and Roji" is released every two (!!!) months, "Zatch Bell" is also every two months... "Monster" is every two months... "Bleach" is every three months only because it's slowed down because it's in US Shonen Jump... As far as I can tell the only Viz title that comes out slower than Inuyasha is "Jojo's Bizarre Adventure", which is a poor seller for them. Two questions I have now are: a) What will Takahashi do next? b) Will the rest of the series, or portions, be animated? A) That we're still unsure of. Usually in hindsight it's easy to see by looking at her short stories... she's done a cooking one recently, so maybe that. But that's still anyone's guess. B) It's not looking good. Kuno Family Servant Posts: 51 (06/09/08 09:45 PM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	well, almost every shonen jump title comes out every two months like black cat unless they are under shonen jump advanced which some only come out every three months (strawberry 100% aka Ichigo 100%) but i just picked up a fairly new series under viz called yumekui kenbun nightmare inspector that comes out every two months. but inuyasha coming out every three months is not that bad because manga under tokyopop comes out every four months. sorry about the double post, internet problem If it wasn't for my naturally wavy hair... I found this out at the japanese bookstore when I tried to preorder it and they said that it would be at the store in 1 month. they said it is coming out in 2 weeks and it would take 2 weeks to ship to america. The official announcement about Inuyasha ending just hit the net and I can give you some heads up on a few more details. Don't expect the final chapter to have color pages (groans) and its really unlikely that Inuyasha will be featured on the cover for that issue either (other than perhaps a small blurb).
