the rest of them are pretty good, better than the japanese ones, for that matter, not that the japanese ones are bad.. just not as good as the english dubs.

i keep hearing that kagome's voice in english makes her sound like a bimbo, ok, maybe she does sound a bit whiny sometimes, but it's not that bad.

I really do like Richard Cox as Inuyasha. Maybe we could get Satsuki Yukino and he to do a version together |

I wouldn't have anyone else to replace the cast. It's perfect the way it is. Richard Cox sure portrays Inuyasha's childish behavior well through
voice. The Inuyasha voice in Japanese doesn't sound very natural, kind of forceful and overacting. I like Koga's voice too, very manly. Sessh's
voice, very cold and stoic, Japanese's one isn't cold enough.
Kikyo sounds like she's almost 30 or something, that's why it's hard for me to see how she and Inuyasha were actually lovers. Kagome's voice is all right. The two versions of Shippo sound very alike, both are quite fitting. However, to me, Rin sounds too mature for a five year old, doesn't have that innocent tone that the other kids have. Most of the demon ones are so hoarse I could barely make out the words they say. |

I have actualy never seen the Japanese dub. I'm not to fond of Kagome's voice in the english version. Other than that I really like all the english voice actors. When I first heard Inuyasha's voice in the anime (I started reading the manga first) I was like "that's Inuyash's voice???" Now I think it suit's him well, but I still imagined his voice a lot deeper. |

oh and naraku's deep voice fits his dark evil character perfectly but he looks too young for that voice. his voice in japanese is a bit light so he
doesn't seem as evil

hmm, let me see.... Ok, just checked out the English voices. Personally, I don't like English Rin, Japanese Rin sounds so much cuter. (yes, this is the
most important voice.) Kagome sounds pretty lame I must say too, and Miroku doesn't have that corrupt-monk voice, for lack of a better word. He sounds
so.....innocent? normal? Sango, Inuyasha, and Sesshomaru are all good.
Oh man, I didn't check the other demons, but the No-man demon was barely understandable.

and Miroku doesn't have that corrupt-monk voice *Try's to imagine what a "corrupt-monk voice" sounds like* Ummm....in the Japanese version does Miroku sound kinda like Ataru O.O that would be very...interesting... |

Well Miroku sounds very handsome. It's true though he doesn't sound like a corrupt-monk (how ever that may sound), because he doesn't look like a
corrupt-monk. I have question though, I read somewhere that even kirara, whose only lines are "purr (like a bird mixed with a.. a.. something) and
"grr", has a voice actor, doesn't the "purr" sounds computerized?

No, no one does the voice for Kirara. I think it's interesting though that Buyo's voice in English is done by Richard Cox - The same guy voicing a dog
demon doing the voice of a cat.

Fun! scenes where Richard Cox is playing Buyo and Inuyasha must sound soooo scitzophrenic when recording!

Inuyasha and young Inuyasha = same person
Kanna and Kagura = same person Ginta, Myoga and Naraku = same person Most of the cast (Inuyasha, Kagome, Miroku, Sango, Naraku, Hachiemon, Kikyo, Sessh, Jaken, Kagura, Koga, Bankotsu, Jakotsu, Suikotsu) that voice in Inuyasha also voice in Ranma 1/2. btw, Kirara does have a voice actor, but only in the japanese version. |

Calm down aynomayac. Although dubs may not express the characters as well as the original language, but it's the only way to present it to foreign viewers.
Subs and dubs aren't that much different, both are translation done in the best way to come to a closest meaning to the original. I personally have
preference over listening to dubs while watching the action than to stare at subtitles and try to read as fast as I can so that i can catch a glimpse on the
action.

See at first I didn't like Richard as Inuyasha but then I got used to his voice and then I was fairly indiffrent. I never had a problam with him as Ranma (even though he sounds exactly the same as he does when he voices Inuyasha) and I started watchiing the part of Ranma 1/2 that had him voicing Ranma after i had already started watching Inuyasha, so (at least for me) I think his voice just takes some adjusting to. BTW my little thingy that changes every 10 or so posts hasn't changed in awhile (yes, I am geeky enough to check) is the upgrade to Yuku causing problams?
