funny, I looked up both Blue Submarine nº 6 and Boogiepop Phantom expecting them to be super obscure, but they are actually quite popular according to ANN,
about #200.
We haven't had any happy screenshots in a while....

PS: About Last Exile... I guess there were some similarities with some of the retro-ish designs. Artist/designer Range Murata contributed to both of the shows.Yeah, the resemblance of vehicles and the overall design are definitely noticeable. It´s been awhile since i saw BS Nº6, i think i´m gonna re watch it.
