Card Captor Sakura, Suki: A Like Manga, and Vampire Knight. I suppose I also read Love Hina. I don't ever consider Tenchi Muyo a romantic manga but I did though read lots of those volumes as well. |

I like the I''s very much, and I love Iori and this series (I wish I got a girlfriend like that, she's so gorgeous, but it's hard to find out in reality That's all information i want to share with u this time. Thanks for reading my posts. |

Does Inuyasha count? It's pretty romantic, sometimes. Although relationship developments progress slowly, really really slowly, but it's sweet and cute
nonetheless.

It took me ten minutes to figure out your comment about my nickname pxhai. My handle has to do with Tsubasa Kurenai not the clamp manga. But from my two suggestions from manga to read you know I like Card Captor Sakura and Suki: A Like Manga. I also like xxxHoLic and have read a few of Magic Knight Rayearth. I didn't care for Tsubasa manga alot but it was an okay read from what I've read; online in scanlations. |

hmm, interesting, saying that Ichigo 100% and Ah! My Goddess are similar....
As far as romance manga, I've read plenty, but most annoyed the heck out of me (KareKano, I''s, Video Girl Ai, Tenchi Muyo, Chobits), or were more comedy and didn't really feel like a romance, but were awesome nonetheless (Love Hina, Ichigo 100%, Lilim Kiss) The only one's that I consider first and foremost Romance manga that I liked were: Maison Ikkoku and Kimagure Orange Road.

Anything by Mitsuru Adachi, particularly Touch. Very MI-ish.

I tend to like quirky romanticish stories like Midori Days (Midori no Hibi) or Absolute Boyfriend, but Nana is good if you're going for relationships.
It's one of the only Shoujo manga I read. Voices of a Distant Star is good if you want something bittersweet.

A lot of shoujo have the romantic element, but I think everyone has mentioned any of the actual romance manga I could think. Kimagure Orange Road is definetly
a good read (one of my favourites), but I would disagree that the artwork and style are similar to MI. Matsumoto's work looks like Matsumoto, not
Takahashi. It's a fun story, I don't think it really reads or acts much like MI. The similarity in styles is perceived more by anime fans, as both
series were in production around the same time, by the same studio, with the same character designer, and so it was easy to make KOR essentially another MI.
Hey pxhai, where are you at in the series so far? Just wondering.

I second on Touch, though it's sadder, in my opinion, than MI is.

If you like Ranma ½, I've been reading "Gacha Gacha" (careful there are two series by this name by the same author out there) and it's pretty
good. It has a similar sex change storyline, but with a little more fanservice.

You could try "The Cherry Project" by Naoko Takeuchi. It's a fairly short series. She's also done a couple of books of one-shot stories,
collected in Miss Rain and Prism Time (two volumes).

Densha Otoko!
You might want to clarify what you mean by romance manga - some of the replies here makes me recall the days when there were people referring to Ranma½ and Oh My Goddess! as shoujo manga (on account of have prominent female characters, if memory serves). jopojelly wrote:Tangent query: Tenchi Muyo is romance while Love Hina is romantic comedy? As the Danes say, hvaba?

Definitely. But still a great read.
Other Mitsuru Adachi titles are good, too. But Touch is my favorite. |

As far as realistic romance with some comedy like Maison Ikkoku you can;t go wrong with Honey & Clover and Nodame Cantabile.
