He's not gonna show in the anime for the last few eps. I know, I was disappointed too. But he did hang out with the group for a good while in manga.

Kouga shows up in quite a few manga chapters that occur past the anime's end (chapter 366). He appears in volumes 38 and 39 and is a mainstay from volumes
43-47, his last appearance being in chapter 466.

I'm not sure what older viewers would like to watch. It wasn't till I joined this message board that I found out not only teenagers watch Inuyasha, or
anime in general, for that matter.

I'm talking about teenagers in the 13 to 16 age group, but yes I'm an adult and enjoy Inuyasha and dont mind watching Naruto (if thats how its spelt?)
but we all love the smart and funny comments....not really for the younger age group, I think alot would go over their heads..hehehe that why I wondered if
there is any other shows out there like that?

The plain horrible truth is that older people vary much like younger people. I really depends on who you are, and what you've experienced. I've questioned folks who are in their 60's and 70's, who watched cartoons when they were young, and they have a tough time adjusting to these "cartoons" that have a lot less funny stuff. However, they are far more likely to try to watch anime than someone who has not watched any cartoon much. Most of the people who are closer to my age, if they didn't watch cartoons as a kid, they don't watch them now. The reverse is usually true also; if they watched cartoons as a kid, they watch them now, and are frequently more intrigued by anime. A similar factor occurs with manga readers, if they read comics when they were young. People who are used to watching anime often hesitate to read the manga.

Are there many adults who watch Shin-chan? Surely, I don't think it's a show for kids, although it looks simplistic enough.

Well, some of the themes it deals with and Shin's bad language would suggest it's more for adults. I mean - Action Bastard?? The A** Dance?? I
wouldn't let my kids watch it...if I had kids...well you know... I watched it for a little while, but the characters are so freakin' ugly :P, though I
did get some chuckles from it.

http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/manga.php?id=1607 Basically a series that's probably been in the televisions top 10 rankings every week for the last 15 years in Japan. The anime has like, 600+ episodes and about 15 movies. It's animation style looks kinda childish I but the humor is pretty mature, like in these clips: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2CqdX7vSVSc

Looks better than I expected, although the "and a penis" was a little crass.

I've seen the "and a penis" thing on forums, but one of the things the mother said really threw me off... >.>

Ok the quote "To be a man you must have honor, honor and a pe-e-e-e-e-nis is easily the funniest quote I have ever heard from anything ever. Period. I say it all the time and even attempt to do that dance that goes a long with it. I love shin-chan. It's interesting that this came up because my dad has seen a few episodes of Shin-chan (I made him watch), and so I was ranting to him today about what a cultural phenomenon it is, and at the end of my long rant (which I doubt he was actually paying attention to) all he had to say was "Why is that kid so fascinated with his own penis?" |

Shin is so...odd, which makes me wonder: why is that rich girl obsessed with him? I still don't get that.

haha tierum I think you're trying to think about it too hard. It's comedy for comedies sake I don't think you'll ever find humor in anything if you're always looking for logic and practicality. |

Has the show always been this rude? I believe that the American dubs altered its contents a little to make it that obscene. I remember reading some old
Shin-chan comics and it was okay, (I was only about 10 years old). Only thing was Shin liked to doodle on his "doodle doo" and make it look like an
elephant.
