Okay, as the topic title suggests. I was wondering what Alien gadget you thought was coolest, funniest, or did the most for the story.
I thought the anti-flirt doll was funny. It blew up from overuse and didn't do a thing to stop Ataru.

hmm, the transformation spray made for some great situations.....
And the sex change gun that the crows had was hilarious. The mini time machine explained Mendo's fear off dark, cramped places very well, which I thought was clever. And this ice thing, (I think in the manga it was bubble gum, but they combined both stories together.)

I believe it was an "Ice Cooler".
My opinion though, the most important "gadget" (if you could call it that) to the story is the space ship. Without it, there would be no Lum, really, no Urusei Yatsura all together. |

I gotta agree with the sex change gun. Actualy I can't decide if that gadget is scary or funny but I'm gonna go with funny. One of my favorite gadgets was the mini Lum cling on she put on Ataru's head to train him from a young age. |

i think that the transformation spray would be in my top ten. very practical and very entertaining. lets say that your giving a report or speech, if you see
some one sleeping, then spray them to see whats more important than you.

Ahh, so many to choose from . . .
Does CAO-2 count as alien technology? I liked how each of the girl's personalities shows itself in trying to pull pranks on him, and how he's too strong to be hurt by them. The Love-Love Catchballs got some hilarious reactions from the cast. Rei's attempt to use the Reunion Locket to reunite with Lum was good too. I loved Lum's vaccinator against "Girly-girl-eyed measles"-dang! My favourite, though, is probably "Super Golden Delicious Planet Golden Special Reserve Aftercare Kit #28" It's just fun to say. |

I was always intrigued by the idea of 'magnetic lipstick.' When I first started Project ILM, that was one of the first ones that was done.
One thing I've always found kind of interesting, was that with all that advanced technology, whenever they communicated with headsets, they had those really large models that covered the whole ear, like early 80's headphones. |

Oh wow I haven't been here in a while!!!
I liked the gadget Ten-chan used to make his sand dolls come to life. Especially the scene where Mendo is making a Sakura sand doll and patting the boobs into place lol

Ten-thousand-and-one votes for the Sex-Change Gun. If I found one of those in my gleeful little paws, look for me in all your favorite stranger-sniping
locations.
The Transformation Spray, however, is a close runner-up. Given a can, I'd feel like spicing up the whole Clinton/Obama thing. The entire point of the UY gadgets is, after all, mischief. |

Well, the Transformation Spray seems to be a favorite, I'm no exception there.
I thought alot of the alien devices were funny... The doors that Lum brought to class where they went to another dimension to become characters from other stories. The magnetic lipstick - kisses galore! Of course the sex-change gun was funny too! Yeah, lots of fun devices Takahashi-sensei is so clever.
