My No.1 is Inuyasha. Story: needless to say and even has some improvements over manga. Graphics: the best I've ever seen, nice, clear, colorful ... Soundtrack: awesome. The second is Maison Ikkoku. Story: great, unique. Graphics: very good for a 80s' anime. Sound: excellent, attrative. When I first saw the first episode with "hello sadness", I was attracted immidiately and managed to download full series . My 3rd: I'm considering to download Rurouni Kenshin. I've seen some screenshots and they're good. Unfortunately, Ranma 1/2 was an incredible manga, but the anime is disappointing though have good opening/ending songs.

Love everything about it from story to music. Next come Naruto. It's the anime that makes me to laugh and cry the most. And.. that's about it. I haven't watched many other series, but I shall start once high school life permits me a break.

I agree that the Ranma anime wasn't nearly as funny as the manga but as far as anime goes it was still pretty amusing. Then maybe the Rumiko Takahashi Anthology, Mermaid Forest, and the One Pounnd Gospel OVA. I have yet to see the anime version of Maison Ikkoku. Then out of the non-Rumic anime out there some of my favorites are: Elfen Lied, Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni, Hellsing Ultimate, Gantz, School Days, Koroshiya Ichi episode 0, Ninja Scroll, Shadow Star, Urutsukidoji, Wiked City, Demon City Shinjuku, Perfect Blue, Paprika, Ghost in the Shell, Serial Expirement Lain, Paranoia Agent, Afro Samurai, Blood: the Last Vampire, Sailor Moon, Night Walker, Vampire Princess Miyu, Death Note, BoBoBo-Bo Bo-BoBoBo, Excel Saga, Puni Puni Poemy, Vampire Hunter: D, Revolutionary Girl Utena, Tokyo Pig, X (1999), Hellsing, Speed Grapher, Shigurui, Crayon Shin-Chan, Le Chevalier Deon, Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle, My Neighbor Totoro, Castle in the Sky, Princess Mononoke, Nausica Valley of the winds, Appleseed, Mind Game, Basalisk...that's all I can think of off the top of my head but I'll get back to you if I think of more. I've only watched the anime, but based on what I've heard and seen in trailers, I don't think the game is hentai. It's more just ecchi.

The characters, the music (especially the BGM), the anything-goes anarchic atmosphere; I'd venture to say it's almost Japan's "Peanuts" just in terms of its influence. As that "MyLum" project shows, plenty of manga artists cite our green-haired alien girl as a main influence. And next up on "Inside the Anime Studio", the REMARKABLOUS lasting influence of Doraemon!

If I had to pick my favorite anime, it would probably be Cowboy Bebop. Wonderful animation, great story, and an AMAZING soundtrack. However, Maison Ikkoku is my favorite manga, followed by Ranma, Kindaichi Case Files, and Harlem Beat/Rebound (not in any particular order).
