Judging by the icons and memers this has gotta be pretty old. (at least before I came to the site, which actualy isnt that long ago...sooo it could have been fairly recently) Anyways, I agree about Lum. Except she isnt exactly cool headed, she can be pretty short tempered. But who wouldnt be if they had to deal with Ataru every day? Haha which remindes me...Ataru is amazing too! He is just too funny! I cant decide between Ataru and Lum!

Her personality is completely different from Shutaro's or Ryoko's. She doesn't strike me as a spoiled little rich girl at all (we actually see her father spanking her in a flashback in one episode for using a gun). She received the same level of education as her friends, and she puts other people's feelings before her own. I'm guessing this has a lot to do with the fact that she grew up on her mother's side of the family. Instead of being spoiled, she is very carefree and innocent, and innocence is a sign of true beauty. It should be noted that Lum has more panty shots than any other character in the show.

Obviously Inaba and Shinobu, but outside of them the single favorite character of mine would probably be Nurse Sakura. She's so cool and mature and sexy and doesn't take crap from anyone. "Miss Shinobu! Won't you have some tea with me?"

Just a little short temperd when it comes to Ataru. But, Again, who wouldnt be. I also LOVE cherry! He is the cutest little old man! I always wanna give him a hug. They are always calling him ugly but he is so CUTE! Also Sakuras mom...HAHA but she looks just like cherry anyways. I LOOOOOOOOOVE the episode where they thought he was a pantty theif but it was really an octopus BUT THEN THEY SAW THE OCTOPUS AND STILL THOUGHT IT WAS HIM!!!!!! Thats like my favorite episode. I just wish they had animated Mendous gaurds careeing the real Cherry away, thinking he was an octopus and wanting to eat him. LOL! But Mendou didnt excist yet soooo.... Another favorite part of the sereise of mine was, when a demon came out of a mirror on friday the 13th and Cherry decided to mix buhdist methods with western methods, to exercise it....."HALE BUHDA! HALE BUHDA! IN THE NAME OF JESUS CRISTE! HALE BUHDA!" LOOOOOOOOOOOL Im sorry I get hyper when talking about Cherry. Is it me or do they always say the cutest characters are ugly? In Inuyasha they are always saying Jaken is ugly. I think he is the cutest little thing I have ever seen! I wonder if Jaken is suposed to be a kappa.... As for Lum having pantie shots all the time...Well most of tim she is wearing nothing but panties and a bra...which is just made out of cloth! So of course she has the most panty shots.

I too always thought Cherry was cute, like a little wise grandpa. Sakura's looks are on the opposite end of the gene pool. Her mother is a Cherry clone w/ a 'fro. =D "Miss Shinobu! Favorite Oni / Yakuza Princess with a Heart of Gold.. Lum! Favorite Ice Princess... Oyuki! Favorite Human Female... Shinobu! Favorite Human Male... Ataru! Each of the characters given above have very different but likeable... even loveable qualities about each of them. I have to admit that Benten would be my number 1 pick of a large group of my favorite fictional characters of all time. But being friends with any of them would mean the last thing you'd ever worry about is boredom.

The conclusions we drew there were that it's not mentioned in the anime, for sure, nor in the translated version of the manga (I haven't read the Japanese version, nor has anyone I know, so I can't say for sure it's not in there), BUT AnimEigo and Viz have both said on their websites/packaging that she's a princess. Whether it was just the american companies having a disney-style princess complex, or if that information actually CAME from anywhere, no one knows. It isn't known whether Takahashi-sensei has ever mentioned it in any interviews or anything, so I don't think we'll ever know for sure. So it comes down to a matter of opinion. I prefer to think she's not a princess, just the daughter of a powerful space-warlord (like is what seems to be indicated in everything I've seen) and/or high ranking military officer.
