The baby just outgrew the nursery and we figured we'd not have any more use for that room anymore, so we are in the process of changing it into a library. A library of, what else? Manga, of course! We had intended to get into Ranma (as we had been up to date on the Viz release of Inuyasha, and had the other series from Rumiko) and since the new versions, those large versions, were not yet available for Ranma, we just bought what there was already. We can always get the new versions in the future if they are offered. So now we got pretty much everything Rumiko Takahashi ever had done in English (so far). Some works (Maison Ikkoku anyone?) are in multiple versions for good measure.

Anyway, since Ranma was where it all began, it wouldn't be a manga library without the pages of Ranma gracing the halls. Which brings me to the topic. For decor, I think a Ranma wall-scroll would very appropriate. I wondered if anyone could point me to some choices of wall-scrolls from various venders. Maison Ikkoku only had one wall-scroll available to buy. I like it and own it, but I am hoping for a bit more variety to choose from. When I searched Ebay, I only saw two rather bland choices in my opinion.

Hmm, good question, the pickings have gotten slim for finding Ranma goods in the last few years.

Here's one from The Evil Oni OVA.
This place has four. I actually own the second one. I had some Mormon missionaries come to my apartment when I was in college and they seemed off-put by it...
A good selection. Mostly OVA LD covers.
Joy's Japanimation has two. This is a pretty good store for finding older stuff (sort of). They were one of the first anime stores online and I get the feeling that business dropped off and they got stuck with a good bit of old stock.

There are more out there though than just these. Let me know which (if any) you wind up getting!

These aren't for sale, but I thought I'd show them anyway. These are manga wallscrolls from the series. I have the first one, which was made for the 1987 Shogakukan Comics Fair (the year Ranma debuted), as well as the '89 Comics Fair one. I also have the noren (fourth from last) which is a sort of a door divider. I never had a place to hang it, but always liked that image since it was never used on anything else.

That noren's cuuute! You should put it up somewhere! In your bathroom doorway or in front of your closet or something! lol I have one with a patchwork tanuki on it between my gekkan (genkan?) and kitchen area. lol

I nearly had my hands on a Ranma wallscroll back when I was going to the anime club meetings in college, it was a prize at our end of the year party. But some other goober took it even though everyone knew I wanted it.

I didn't see the image it had on it in any of those links though. I think it was some OVA artwork? They all look kind of sketched, and the girls are all clamoring over Ranma, and Ryoga's in the background (and Mousse might be too?).

I've snagged most of my scrolls from ebay - I actually have that phoenix one which I *think* is actually from Japan (and not a copy) since it looks a bit different and has some writing and such on it (its in storage, so no pictures. Remind me some time after I move).
