The style looks like something Yasuomi Umetsu would do. Not something I've seen before, though, so no idea.

Hah! I actually bought Fancy Lala on DVD about a year and a half ago. It was a blind buy at $19.99 during a stock clearance sale, to bring an order up to
enough to qualify for free shipping. Obviously I haven't watched it yet. Silly me
