Sometimes, I really wonder about this: Why do people love IYanime so much? What exactly is/are the factor(s) or reason(s) that catches IYfans' hearts to get so attracted with the anime&manga that makes us want to follow up with the story till the very end?

Its interesting to see Takahashi going a different route than the romantic comedies in the past. It's got a lot of great action, but hasn't fallen into some of the shonen stereotypes that can sometimes pop up in other series (i.e. the weak female characters of Naruto....). Webmaster Rumic World

Also, I can tell who's winning while I'm watching the fights without waiting for it to be over and have someone say "Wow! So-and-so beat the bad guy with such-and-such a technique." The fights don't drag on forever (I was reading a One Piece, for example, where the fight that was continued from the previous volume won't be finished until at least the next volume). And, of course, interesting characters.

It is also full of action, emotional turmoil, and unexpected plot twists, which keeps us on the edge of our seats. It's sentimental, and dynamic, and loaded with virtue, despite charming character flaws. It feels like the way life could be, if it were lived to the fullest. Personally, I think Takahashi is great in plotting for the entire story. The in-depth story that keeps me want to continue watching IY non-stop. The best part is like what 160zGospel said, the fights dont drag. The anime doesnt fight for many episodes without having a winner still. Every episodes have different sub-stories and have a little ending after 24+mins of airing (except for some episodes). As for IY characters, they are all awesome! Some of them, such as Kagome & Sango (definitely IY too), inspire us too. Their determination & willpower to acheive their goals, their kind souls..etc. Their attitudes towards life really make me feel that I want to learn from them. And of course, I like the way the characters are being drawn. Their beautiful eyes & figures, and the sceneries too. The opening songs, ending songs, soundtracks are all great! Well, practically, I love IY's everything! =D

Mainly because I got into UY first, and found out by way of this website that Inuyasha was Rumiko's latest creation. Plus, unlike UY and Ranma but like MI, it's a continuous story. Once you read one chapter you have to find out what happens next week! And remember to drink your Ovaltine, kids, and win a free Shippo decoder ring!
