Yeah, Kazume is a great match. Poor Akane! Although Dr Tofu falls to pieces whenever abyone mentions her name, he can be quite calm and collected.

Probably Dr. Tofu. His name is unusual, but what I find funniest is the way he acts around Kasumi. For instance, in the third graphic novel when Kasumi brought Tofu cookies, he picked up the cloth and wore it as a mask. He also mixed up the other characters' names and bent Ranma's neck. I also thought it was funny when later, Ranma had to go around with a bent neck. Another time was in the third graphic novel. Dr. Tofu was looking up the ingredients for Shampoo #911 in a book. The shampoo was to bring back Akane's memory of Ranma, which Shampoo erased. Suddenly, Kasumi walks in. Dr. Tofu absentmindedly rips up the book. If anyone knows any other funny Dr. Tofu moments, please post them.

Gah....you have no idea how much I hate having to pick a favorite anything. Still, I'm willing to shoulder on and put my money on...Genma! with Ranma himself coming in a close second. The reason I rank Genma first, is that he is a very different sort of funny than most of the cast, IMO. Most of the characters are hilarious because they do the same things over and over....Ryoga always gets lost or falls for Ranmas disguises, Mousse can't tell the difference between people and monkeys, Kuno gets the most airtime(as in flying), Happossai is unreformably peverted, Akane whacks Ranma for stuff he doesn't do, Kodachi uses paralysis powder, Tofu loses it around Kasumi, Nabiki scams money, ect...
Genma, however, is a whole different story. He's often wildly unpredictible and funny, and yet always perfectly in character. I almost never see what he is going to do or say coming, but I still get the feeling of " He would so do that!" Ranma shares some of this, which is why I rank him a close second. Just my 2 cents. |

Genma in first place Ranma second Kuno third Nabiki fourth My pick for the top two best comedy duos : Genma and Ranma Nabiki and any male character from whom she can turn a profit - legally or otherwise. |

Disagree- Nabiki and Kuno are by FAR a better comedy duo than any other Nabiki combo.

i think the two funniest duos would have to be Soun/Genma -because of their un-ending fear of their master and the lengths they go to to avoid him. And Ranma/Happosai just cause of all the trouble that Happy gets Ranma in, like Bathhouse Battle.

for duo, i'd go for ryoga+akane and tofu+kasumi. the shy guy routine cracks me up.

Gotta be Happosai. Who can look at a pint-size hyperactive monkeylike old man and not laugh, especially if he lives to steal lingerie and grope ladies? Granted, we all know it's not okay to do that stuff in real life, but why else do you keep watching the episodes with him, even the ladies?

In the Season 5 Episode, Mission Improbable,
Sasuke Sarugakure seemed quite hilarious to me, and it was also funny that Happosai manipulated him so easily, and that he quickly gave all his respect and admiration to Happosai, only Sasuke Sarugakure would do that,

Funny - I think it might be easier to say who Isn't funny. Even Pantyhose Taro who fights without remorse is funny because of the circumstances surrounding
his birth and naming. To pick a favorite, I think I would have to choose three:
Ryoga is quite funny. From his introduction where he's running around like a madman, I just couldn't stop laughing. He was supposed to meet Ranma, what, a block from his house and it took him four days to get there? 
Mousse...well what can you say about a guy so talented with magic and martial arts who can't tell the difference between Akane and Ranma without his glasses? Of course, Dr. Tofu. He's so cute when he trips over himself around Kasumi. Say, what ever happened to that guy? |

I think that Pantyhose Taro is the most Bipolar Character in the series. He wraps people up in the softest most sweet fabric, but his alter ego is something
terrible to behold. I think that his name might be what got him messed up in the first place.
