Just a forum about Kikyo.

I'm not so sure I agree. The fact that she uses other people's souls to selfishly maintain her false existence seems to be a bit unethical. Also, she
seems to not care that she and Inuyasha were once in love. I find her to be cold and lifeless.

I have to think that Kikyo really is a good person deep inside. She was a well-liked and respected priestess in life and she spared Inuyasha's life when he
first met her and went after the tama. It was Naraku who changed all that, turning them against each other and killing her. While it can be argued that the
wish Kikyo wanted to make on the tama - to make Inuyasha human - was completely motivated by her own wish to be a normal woman, I believe she truly did love
Inuyasha and really wanted to be with him without the constant threat of death at the hands of a youkai bent on possessing the Shikon no Tama.
The 'evil' Kikyo only came about after she was ressurected. She was essentially subsisting on hatred and vengence - the emotions she experienced right before her death. So - Yeah, she did do some questionable things - like try to take Inuyasha with her into hell and taking souls to keep herself alive, but I can't say that the REAL Kikyo was a bad person. Like most of the people in the series, she became what she was because of Naraku. Of course Urasue's ressurection of her as a clay figure didn't help too much. Just a thought, if Kikyo did recieve her entire soul back from Kagome, would she have been a different person? |

A thoughtful reply. I guess I never really differentiated Kikyo with her resurrected incarnation. As far as the series is concerned, however, the Kikyo seen
the most is that nasty evil Kikyo.
As for hating Naraku, I think that's a given. I do think it's neat that Takahashi made Naraku a "handsome" man rather than a lizardy evil critter. It, I believe, intensifies the feeling of just how evil he is. |

Kikyo is amazing! She's cute, busty, and she's naked! Her boobies are AMAZING.
If it wasn't for her, I'd never get into this series. As lame as it sounds, I've always had a lot of sympathy for her, although I must admit she is BADASS when she's all cranky and evil. |

I'd always felt sympathy for Kikyou. She got a raw deal all around. Here she was, stuck as a miko with protecting a jewel wanted by every baddie youkai
in Japan, finally finding someone who offered her a ticket out, then losing him due to a villain's trickery. Then dying. Then not even being allowed to
rot in peace but resurrected by a witch to something resembling mortal life but without any of its advantages, hating the man she once loved.
She actually overcame all this negativity by the time of her final demise so she could die in peace as the ordinary woman she'd always longed to be, in the arms of her beloved. (^_*) |

I do think it's neat that Takahashi made Naraku a "handsome" manReally? I've always had the sneaking suspicion that he was fashioned after Michael Jackson...(and not cool Thriller-era Michael, either!)
So honey...
