I think Mousse is a dork to be honest. My favorite character would probably be Ryoga. I can identify with him as I can get lost easily. In fact, every time I
play a new "Legend of Zelda" game, I have my wife watch so she can tell me when I'm going around in circles.

well at least he finds his way around, and when he first encountered Ryoga, Mousse said, "Look down, look round!", and slammed him in the face, Ryoga's code of honor makes him less dangerous than he could be, and he also doesn't seem so tricky or crafty,

Yeah. Mousse is clever, but Ryoga has a bigger heart. Yeah, Ryoga can be a dull as a brick, but he does have mad martial arts skills. One thing they both have

Love the character. Hate what the writer and anime producers did with him.
I said it before and I'll say it again. I love Takahashi and I like the ending of Ranma, but I have a huge grudge against her ending it without giving a happier ending to Mousse, thus dooming him to his horrible existance for all eternity. I feel more sorry for him than Ryoga. his life sucks! ryogasgirl seemed to imply that Mousse had a happier ending than Ryoga. Wrong. Shampoo smiled at mousse only because she wanted him to help her make exploding nikumen to interupt akanes wedding. Ryoga at least had his "consolation prize" he got another girlfriend (akari). Even Kuno...KUNO had his own little ting (mariko). The closest Mousse ever got was that stupid statue and the girl from waaay back who said "the guy (ranma)'s fighting is cute" Also I would like to note was the anime that made him lok uglier and made him a lot dorkier. Originally he wasnt a COMPLETE loser! His look may be little goofy but its goofy combined with cool. As is his fighting style., which is another reason I like him. What I wouldn't give for Rumiko to have written either... a) a manga story that...more stronlgy in the past.... implies that shampoo does/will/is starting to have feelings for him. b) a story in which he gets a suitor of his own. A REAL one .... an actual attractive girl. c) a story with both THEN the story will be complete to me. |

I just meant that Akane - Ryoga's pursuit - was lost to him forever when she agreed to marry Ranma while Shampoo - Mousse's pursuit - was no longer in the running for Ranma's affections. I fully agree that Ryoga has a much happier ending than does Mousse because Akari indeed does have strong feelings for Ryoga and they could have a very happy life together. I also would have liked Mousse to have his own love; he certainly deserves one. |

Actually, if/when you think about it, she treats him remarkably well for someone
whom she, according to conventional wisdom, sees as an annoying and incompetent weakling who constantly interferes in her and Shampoo's plots etc. Cheap labour and tribal loyalty doesn't make up for the trouble he's causing or explain why she allows him to stick around. (Nor does lust.)

That Cologne's treatment of Mousse is a remarkable good treatment of a cretinous buffoon who annoys your great-granddaughter and interferes with your plans? Compared with, e.g. whipping him to within an inch of a life, kick him out of the place and tell him if he ever shows his face near the place again you'll go that last inch with the whipping? There's so much she could do... should do if she's a cruel hateful woman torturing a wortless maggot for his part in the continued lack of success in her plots and the misery he's caused her great-granddaughter. (Or just for the hell of it.) More than hard work, verbal abuse (which is mutual, anyway) and occasional physical violence. He was never mean to Shampoo, he likes her. Cologne was NEVER technaccly mean to Ranma except for the cat tounge incident. Put yourself in Mousses place for a few miniutes and see if you like it. she CHINS HIM TO TABLES for petes sake. so dont say that, None of its true!!!
