Who would you run off with - guy or girl, depending on your preferance - in any of Takahashi's series'? I'm not talking a one night stand, but a serious relationship. And why would that person be a good mate? Conversely, who would you NEVER date?

To date or not to date: that is the question. |

Okay, we were talking about this in the Inuyasha messageboard, but I thought I'd branch out a bit:

Tsubasa Kurenai. Although we'd never date, since he doesn't like boys, I hope to run off and be his friend.
Conversely I hope I never meet Kodachi nor do I have any wish at all to meet the one known as Naraku. |

Well I've already established a list of cuties who I'd hook up with in the Inuyasha messageboard. As far as who I'd never date, um... the Toad
Prince maybe?

Ryoga or Godai (I think they'd be the best for serious relationships...although Ryoga would take some work trying to keep track of...

Nice choices, Captain Hummingbird.
I think of all the ladies of Rumic which I would have considered dating, Kozue probably fits. Although I love Kyoko, I confess that just coming out of high school I'd have been too gutless to actually have gone for her. Kozue seems safe, somehow, and nice, and exceptionally sweet. I guess that's why maybe I've developed a soft spot for her over time. Yagami would have freaked me out, espeicially if there had been an age difference like what she and Godai had. She's every male teacher's nightmare. Another girl in Rumic that I may have given a chance would have to be the ever talking Konatsu. If I could get only a couple words in edgewise, I may have liked her. It would greatly depend on whether she actually could hold a conversation and whether she really actually would say anything. Akira Godai I may have asked out if I could have gotten up the nerve and understood that she wasn't already involved with someone else. I know I focussed on Maison Ikkoku. Back in high school, Shinobu of Urusei Yatsura would have interested me until she clobbered me once. Ranma 1/2's Akari seemed a genuinely sweet girl who could have interested me. Like Ryouga of Ranma 1/2, I was a hopeless romantic who had a tough time approaching girls. At least I could find their houses. Mana seems like a nice girl. If I had to live forever, I'd like to tag along with her until we both got tired of life. But that tale is almost too tragic to talk of love. For a buddy, nowadays, I think the Master of Chachamaru would be a decent fellow to know. I'd frequent his place with by best drinking bud, Godai. That'll be two Kirin Ichiban, Akemi! Ha!

Kyoko (Maison Ikkoku) would be at the top of my list, with a close second of either Akane (Ranma) or Shinobu (Urusei Yatsura). Don't even ask me to
explain why on those two, considering how completely different they are from Kyoko. There's no accounting for some people's tastes
A big no to all of Ranma's fiancees other than Akane, and to pretty much every female character in Inuyasha. |

Benten of UY would possibly fit the type of girl I'd have gotten along with. Not sure I would have wanted to date her, but it seemed no matter where I went, I got along well with the biker chicks. I don't know why that was.

Mana seems like a nice girl. If I had to live forever, I'd like to tag along with her until we both got tired of life. But that tale is almost too tragic to talk of love.Mana?...I don't know, she's nice and can certainly handle herself, but her ignorance of the world and her seeming dependance on Yuta kinda grated on me. Okay, so it's not her fault she was kept a prisoner for her young life and so didn't know alot, but it was still annoying. --and tragic, yes, tragic. |

Probably Oyuki, I'd say. Mainly because she's usually one of the calmest characters in any Rumic series, and I admire her combination of dignity and
calmness. Although she'd probably think I'm TOO easygoing. We can also both be pretty devastating when mad, though I'm more like Homer Simpson or
Donald Duck.

GodaiHM May need a cowbell for a guy who could potentially get lost going to the bathroom. I think I've said this on a similar topic elsewhere on the board, but all I would have to do is get one of those little leashes people use to keep from losing their children at the zoo or the mall So honey...

I really, REAAALLLY like Godai, especially for a serious relationship. He's so genuine and pure-hearted, and not entirely dull either. He's humble;
always putting others before himself, and I think he would be fun to go with on dates because he would make something so simple really fun.
