Interested in Video Game scans? |

I know the owners of the site are always interested in the rare (as evidenced by their liking of Shonen Sunday issues and mangas like With Cat), so that is why
I ask this question. I've recently got a hold of the Famicom (Japanese NES) Urusei Yatsura game: Wedding Bells for Lum. Would you guys be interested in
high-quality scans of the box and instruction manual? I could scan all of that if you guys are interested.

Sweet...8 bit Lum goodness....I like that particular image of Lum in the wedding dress w/ impassive Ataru in the background. Wish I had an emulator or
something for this game!!

Any normal NES emulator can run a rom of the game. As for how to play the actual game and not a rom? Well, if you don't have a Japanese Famicom, there are
ways of getting it to play on an American NES. The differences between NES games and Famicom games that makes them noninterchangeable isn't in the
programming, but in the hardware.

A major earthquake strikes on the outskirts of Tomobiki High! Now the school building's on fire-cha!! The earthquake has caused a tear in the space-time continuum, causing you to warp through the past and future-cha. As the school burns, you're now a kindergartener! As the floors deteriorates, you'll have to jump!! Rush to your UFO as it waits on the roof-cha. Warp through successive eras until you reach the one where Darling is waiting, and reach the future world where you can marry Darling! Also, as a little bonus there's this... http://youtube.com/watch?v=g5LKA6kWpbg The original Japanese ad for the game. As you can see, Lum ages as the levels progress. I had a ROM for this once, but it was pretty difficult.

Thank you so much for the scans, Ataru the Jeckyll! And thanks for that translation, Yoiko Hibiki! I guess that time-space thing explains why there are Lums of
different ages on the cover. I was wondering about that...looks like a fun game BTW. Gosh, you know I havent played on a game system of any kind since the
original Nintendo - that was my brother's thing, I always had my nose in a book. I would definetly try that one if I could.
You know if any of Lum's childhood friends are in the game?

Yoiko Hibiki wrote: Wow. Thanks a bunch for that translation! The game never made any sense to me until now! With a complicated plot like that, it's easy to get confused
with almost everything that happens in the game. Anywho, none of Lum's childhood friends are in the game. The messenger Ran doll is in the game, though... and like pretty much everything else, it's trying to kill you. And I still can't figure out why Mendo's "men in black" gaurds are shooting at you, either. I've always wanted to own this game for the sake of owning it, but honestly it's not a great game. It's entertaining, so I wouldn't call it a bad game, but it's frustratingly difficult and there's two bad reasons for why: The jump physics are terrible and often times there's a billion enemies on the screen at once. And yet, despite its shortcomings, I'm such a huge Urusei Yatsura fan that I actually bought two copies of this game; one in near mint condition and one that was in crappy condition. I took the one that's in crappy condition and turned it into an NES game... but I still have to wait until my next paycheck to buy more ink before I print out a label for it.I must say, though, it's pretty awesome to play this on an actual NES hooked up to a TV rather than on an emulator on a computer. Nothing like authenticity.

Hey Ataru, if you'd like to expand your review a bit or anything we'll put it up on the site. Our "review" section hasn't been touched
in a few years and I enjoyed reading your impressions of the game. Let me know!
