As fantastic as Grand Theft Auto IV is, this game goes way beyond it.

I'm surprised Yusaku hasn't started this thread yet since it's his game, but I was curious if anyone else out there was playing it? I can say that
it is without a doubt the greatest Metal Gear game ever made, if not the greatest game I've ever seen. The story is epic, the graphics are mindblowing and
the gameplay is incredibly deep. And the music... the music is just spectacular. It's by Harry Gregson-Williams (the two "Narnia" movies,
"The Rock", "Kingdom of Heaven" and the "Shrek" films) and Ennio Morricone ("A Fist Full of Dollars", "The Good,
The Bad, and The Ugly", The Untouchables", "The Mission") so you know it's going to be special. I've never seen a game of this
magnitude before. And that's not even mentioning the online play, which is really a blast as well.

I love the MGS series and I can't wait to get my grubby hands on this one too...I don't care if Snake IS old!! I hate to mention AX again but the voice
actor for Snake, David Hayter, is gonna be there too!

Just about everyone on my PS3's friends list has been doing the MGS4 thing since it came out. Not surprised at the popularity, considering the hype. It
seems to be deserved, though, as I've yet to hear any "legitimate" reviewer say the game doesn't live up to expectations.
But as I've never been a fan of the MGS franchise, I gave it a pass. Yeah yeah I know. I'm insane. |

Ranma 101 wrote: Its not really far in the future, as it only takes place 5 years after MGS2. The cloning process that was used to create Snake, Liquid and Solidus has broken down and that's whats caused him to age prematurely. Even though he's an old man in this one, he's still a total badass! |

the way that the cloning process has broken down reminds me of ff7 crisis core.
