The fact that there's no front connector suggests that its "cups" should be kind of flapping around, consistently exposing one or both breasts, as she rides her airbike rather than staying firmly on her bosom. It's amazing it hasn't just flown off during one of her stunts! Thoughts on how this physical impossibility takes place without compromising Benten's dignity? I think it's some sort of advanced adhesive, but any other ideas on this?

It seems like that outfit is the only one she's got, kind of like Lum's top in the first episode. We never see Benten wear any other garment (though it comes in two sexy colors). So her clothes better "take a lickin' & keep on tickin'" for them to do her any good. And I'm not just talking about the g-forces and violence that follows her wherever she goes. It has to stand up to Ataru's tenacious fingers and the rigors of combat. I can't elaborate beyond that.

The most notable example I saw was a blurb about swimsuit designer who tested her suits by windsurfing. I bet that would make Benten's airbike seem like nothing.

The only one that doesn't seem to have a two piece is Oyuki's. It does look like it's made of metal, perhaps a bendable type of metal like one of those health bracelets so she can bend the front close enough together to where it stays in place, she does also have a huge chain around it sometimes to maybe hold it down/in place. Let's just hope that it's lined inside with SOME type of fabric... "Miss Shinobu won't you have some tea with me?"

Standing up to the g-forces Benten faces on her airbike and in general combat would require something far closer to Superglue than mere two-sided tape to keep her top on. Since it's clear she can don and remove it without any trouble, I am revising my theory. It's still somewhat close, but I wouldn't be surprised if her top had some sort of switch that activated a suction-type mechanism to hold it in place. For bathing and such, this switch could be used to deactivate the device for easy removal. On a side note, I'm very amazed that we're able to talk about this seriously without sounding remotely lecherous!
