bothered to check right now, there is the possibility
that said depiction is how the listeners depicted him as
they couldn't imagine him being normal-looking and -sized.
(Didn't they have trouble imagining Cologne that way too,
except that they had somebody known to share some of her
genes nearby to help?)
If so he could easily have been Ranma-sized (and not
significantly worse looking) at that age.
