You know, I didn't realize that Takahashi had ANYTHING to do with any other anime/manga than what is otherwise posted at this website until just recently when, at ANN, I decided to do a name search of Rumiko Takahashi. What exactly does it mean that Takahashi did an "Original Character Design"? I know she apparently isn't the author of this, but I wonder whether there could be some kind of an article featured at Rumic World?

There are numerous things that Takahashi has worked on over the course of her career that we haven't covered on the site yet. She's illustrated numerous novels that are unrelated to her manga, designed characters for anime like Moeyo Ken, worked on illustrations for advertisements, etc. We've been MEANING to do something for Moeyo Ken on Rumic World, but we just haven't had time, or managed to think of what sort of presentation we'd give it.

Is this anime any good? Has it come out in the U.S. its entirety yet? I may put this on my Netflix rental list.

Yeah, its over and done with. The OVA was released first and then the TV series, which I believe was put out on three DVDs last year. We own the OVA, but I haven't seen the TV series yet. I would say that the OVA is very, very average. It doesn't have Takahashi's flair for storytelling, thats for sure.

If you like Sakura Taisen (Sakura Wars) then you'll like it though. Its written by the same guy.
