Does anyone know if the new slim DVD sets (parts 1-4 with all 161 episodes) are legit? They don't have VIZ Video on them anywhere but it seems to work in
the DVD player okay. Any info on what the deal is on these?

No Viz logo + 161 episodes in four sets = definetely bogus. Viz's slim pack release is 7 sets (which haven't all been released in the slim versions
yet). So those are without a doubt bootlegs.

they're not legit for certain, you can buy them here on the Philippines with just 500 php, which is almost 13$ I think with 4 CDs and 161 episodes and 6 OAVs(from the 6th OAV to the 12th). |

It would also probably depend on where you bought them from. I can't imagine a chain store, like Barnes and Noble, Borders, or Target would sell bootlegged
copies. So if you got if from a retail store like that, I would have more faith that it's legit. If it was from an independant website, I wouldn't be
as certain.
So honey...

What happens is someone orders them online and then returns them to a brick and mortar store and pockets the difference. I don't know if it's a widespread problem or only at the Sam Goodys I go to, but I've seen quite a few bootleg sets of Inuyasha popping up there. They're all marked "used" so I figure that's the scheme. |

Naah. I'm 26 and most of the people working there are younger than me. They wouldn't care I don't think.
