Before I even think about my own response, I am very interested in what people think about this. In a recent topic, Mitaka's trip where he kidnapped Kyoko
and took her to Yokohama was brought up. That got me to thinking about whether Godai would have even had a chance with Kyoko had it not been for Mitaka as a
rival. Would Kyoko have even taken Godai seriously had it not been for Mitaka's rivalry? I think I'll leave the rest to your responses. I am really
not sure which way I would go right now.
The reverse of the question is also interesting. Had not Godai been around, would Mitaka have had a chance with Kyoko? And do you think he would have won that chance? Or, without a rival and competition, would Mitaka even have been seriously interested in Kyoko in the first place (after all, there were other pretty fish in the sea, you know). I'll await response.
