While it isn't unusual for for Takahashi-sensei to revisit themes from her short stories in her longer stories, or even to 'test out' storylines in short stories before making a series, she hasn't made spin-offs of her series once concluded. Also, even though a character in one story may be similar to one in another series, hasn't taken a character from one series and put it into another - although some have had cameos -ala Lum. Even though she has sometimes spread out her series ala opg, she hasn't added to them once she's made an official last chapter. I think it's safe to say that Inuyasha is well and done, unfortunately. The only series I can see her adding to perhaps is Mermaid Saga, since it didn't have a very defined conclusion, though it's been some time since the last chapter, so I don't see that happening either.
I'm sorry my post is kinda smashing your hopes, but I thought it might be best to be honest. :P
