That said, the language of opera suits the intergalactic passions of UY kinda well!

Also, Lum saying cha sounded a little out of place, mainly because its italian.

I honestly didn't find anything particularly bad with any of those dubs. But, ya, interesting to see that UY has been shown around the world! The U.S. is about the only place where the entire series hasn't dubbed (which I think might be a huge factor in its relative obscurity in the U.S.). The only thing I find weird is that in France, Ataru's name is Ronnie. o_O That's... that's MY name!!

The only link that worked for me was the spanish one...and yea it deffinatly sucked, it was like those old speed racer episodes that were dubed in english...where there words don't match there lips...

I dunno, I never placed as much importance on synching words with lip movement as I do with accurate translations. On the other hand, since I'm not really sure what they're saying, I guess I can't comment on that part.

So I notice there lip movment a bit more.

This is UY in English...British English, that is. The show was actually broadcast on the BBC once, as "Lum the Invader Girl". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VC6U56JDj6Y Now THAT was a lousy dub. Not that hearing the characters in British accents was completely wrong, but the sound quality was horrible. I don't know if it was just the encoding on the YouTube hoster's computer, but they sounded all muffled.
